Some weddings feel like a party. This one felt like a world — colorful, intentional, alive with the kind of energy that only happens when two deeply creative people invite the people they love most to celebrate with them. Alexis is a painter, and it showed in every detail — the colors, the textures, the way this Tulum destination wedding felt like a living work of art.

Day One

Sunset Cocktails at Panamera.

The celebration began on the rooftop of Panamera, one of Tulum's most iconic venues, perched above the jungle with open sky in every direction.

The clouds kept the sunset more than soft that evening,no golden flare, but the light was gentle and the energy more than made up for it.

They had taken over the entire hotel, and you could feel it. Every corner had a pulse. By the end of the night, the bar was busy and the mood was set.

Day Two

Garden Dinner at Tree House.

The second evening moved to the garden of Tree House, one of Tulum's most celebrated restaurants, known for its open-air atmosphere, wood-fired kitchen, and the kind of candlelit warmth that makes everyone look beautiful. The attire shifted, a little more formal, still effortlessly casual — and the group settled into each other.

Speeches were made. Stories were told. And in the middle of it all, the youngest guest turned four, and there was cake.

This was a group of people who genuinely wanted to be there. Eclectic, warm, well-traveled — you could feel how happy they were for Alexis and Joshua, and how happy they were to be together in Tulum for these few days.

Day Three

Wedding Day at Panamera & Hartwood.

As if on cue, the clouds from the previous days disappeared. The wind came in cool and easy, and the Caribbean turned its deepest, calmest blue.

The ceremony was held at Panamera — heartfelt, intimate, and full of meaning. Joshua broke the glass, as tradition calls for, and the room held that moment the way you hold a breath. Once the ceremony ended, I took them through the hotel for portraits while the guests made their way along the Tulum beach toward Hartwood.

Hartwood at night is something else entirely. The torches, the open sky, the wood and stone and candlelight — decoration that feels like it grew there naturally. Simple, warm, and exactly what a Tulum wedding reception should feel like.

Dinner was had. More speeches. More laughter. And then the music started and the dance floor never looked back.

It ended with rose petals. Everywhere.
